What we can do

  • Transcription

Spoken content is converted into written text in the original language.

  • Transcription & translation

Audio or video is transcribed and the written content is translated into the required target language.

  • Subtitling

Subtitles are prepared and timed to match the video, with wording adapted for clear reading on screen.

  • Subtitle translation

Existing subtitles can be translated into additional languages while keeping the timing and technical structure required for the project.

  • Media translation

Scripts, captions, on-screen text and other language elements can be translated as part of the same multimedia project.

  • Subtitle review

Existing subtitles can be checked for language, terminology, timing and consistency.

Subtitling

Preparing subtitles for the screen

Good subtitles need to be easy to read while the video continues. The wording, timing and line breaks are therefore checked together.

  • Timing

Subtitles are placed at the appropriate points in the video so they follow the spoken content.

  • Reading length

Text may need to be shortened or rephrased so the viewer has enough time to read it.

  • Line breaks

Subtitle lines are divided in a way that keeps the sentence easy to follow.

  • Terminology

Product names, technical terms and approved company wording are kept consistent.

  • On-screen text

Text visible in the video can also be included in the translation scope where required.

  • Existing subtitle files

Existing subtitle files can be translated or reviewed while keeping their timing information.

How we work

From recording to final files

  1. 01

    Project setup

We confirm the languages, media files, required output, deadline and any terminology or style instructions.

  2. 02

    Transcription or source preparation

Spoken content is transcribed when a source transcript or subtitle file is not already available.

  3. 03

    Translation & subtitling

The content is translated and, where required, prepared or fitted into subtitles.

  4. 04

    Review & delivery

The language, terminology, timing and agreed technical details are checked before the final files are delivered.

AI-assisted transcription

AI transcription with human review

For suitable audio, speech-recognition tools can be used to create the first transcript. A linguist then reviews the text and corrects recognition errors, names, terminology and punctuation according to the agreed project requirements.

  • Clear recordings

Audio quality, background noise and the number of speakers can affect automatic transcription.

  • Names & terminology

Company names, product terms and specialist vocabulary often need human checking.

  • Human review

The transcript is checked against the recording to the level agreed for the project.

  • Further translation

Once approved, the transcript can be used as the source for translation or subtitling.

Project material

What helps us prepare the project

If available, send us any material that can help the linguistic team understand the recording and use the correct terminology.

  • Source video or audio

The original media file or secure access to the content.

  • Existing transcript

A source transcript can reduce the amount of transcription work required.

  • Subtitle files

Existing subtitle or caption files can be used where available.

  • Terminology

Product names, technical terms and other approved wording.

  • Scripts & reference material

Presentation scripts, speaker notes or related documents can help clarify unclear passages.

  • Output requirements

The required language, file format, timing or other technical instructions.
