AI Translation & Human Review

AI translation with professional human review

VIAX uses AI translation for suitable content and professional linguists to review the result. The review level is agreed before the project starts and depends on the content, purpose, deadline and quality requirements.

  • Human review
  • Terminology support
  • QA checks

Use cases

Where this workflow works well

  • Internal content

Internal documents, reference material and communications that need to be available quickly in several languages.

  • Product & support content

Help articles, FAQs, product information and other structured customer content.

  • Large volumes

Repetitive or structured content where AI can provide a useful first translation before human review.

  • Regular updates

Ongoing content that uses the same terminology and is updated frequently.

Human review

Choosing the level of review

When an AI-generated translation is reviewed by a professional linguist, the process is often called post-editing. We agree the level of review before work starts.

  • Light human review

The linguist checks the meaning, obvious errors, important terminology and readability. This level is usually used for lower-risk internal or reference content.

  • Full human review

The linguist reviews the full text for accuracy, terminology, grammar, style and consistency.

  • Client-specific review

For ongoing work, we can follow your own review rules, terminology, style guide and list of issues to check.

How we work

From source content to reviewed translation

  1. 01

    Content review

We review the content, language pair, audience and requirements and confirm whether an AI workflow is suitable.

  2. 02

    Project setup

We prepare the available translation memories, approved terminology, style instructions and other reference material.

  3. 03

    AI translation

The content is translated using the system agreed for the project.

  4. 04

    Human review & QA

A professional linguist reviews the translation to the agreed level. The final content is then checked using the QA process agreed for the project.

  • Translation memories

Previous approved translations can be used as reference for new content.

  • Terminology

Approved terms help keep product and company language consistent.

  • Style guides

Existing language rules are followed during human review.

  • Client workflows

We can follow your existing review and delivery process where the project setup allows it.

Quality

What the human reviewer checks

  • Meaning

Whether the translation communicates the meaning of the source correctly.

  • Terminology

Whether approved and context-appropriate terms are used consistently.

  • Language

Grammar, spelling, readability and natural phrasing.
